Senet and SimplyCity Team Up for LoRaWAN Expansion and IoT

The partnership is designed to help farms, industries and cities deliver environmental and community benefits through the IoT.

Cloud-based connectivity and IoT software and services platform provider Senet Inc. is teaming up with Australia-based SimplyCity, a provider of end-to-end IoT solution provider. The technology partnership is aimed at helping farms, industries, and cities deliver environmental, community, and sustainability benefits.

SmartCity provides a full array of smart city management solutions including solar energy metering, control systems, optimized street lighting, and pedestrian flow monitoring. Senet will provide Network-as-a-Service connectivity to help SmartCity clients with their digital transformation from legacy systems to modern IoT deployments for cost savings, improved energy efficiency, and better planning and optimization.

“We selected Senet as our managed LoRaWAN network provider based upon their flexible coverage models, network planning and management capabilities, and reliable enterprise-level of service support,” said Ram Kuppusamy, Director of SimplyCity. “This strategic partnership also allows us to take advantage of Senet’s vast ecosystem of certified sensor and gateway manufacturers from around the world.”

Together the two companies are currently working on installing an environmental monitoring solution in a salt mine in Western Australia. The project will illustrate their commitment to offering services and solutions that can withstand industrial grade IoT projects under harsh conditions and in remote areas. SimplyCity also provides several LoRaWAN-based agricultural productivity solutions to local farmers and governments and is providing new data-driven critical infrastructure and asset management solutions to communities, STEM schools students, and city planners through its “Free to Use IoT Network.”

Senet provides LoRaWAN services to over 80 countries via its Low Power Wide Area Virtual Network in addition to a suite of deployment, planning, and management services for supporting on-demand network expansion.
