In a recent report on edge compute and security, the energy and utilities (E&U) industry stood out as the industry most interested in adopting edge use cases. The ‘AT&T Cybersescurity Insights Report: Securing the Edge’, published in November, conducted a survey, which found that 77% of E&U respondents were planning to deploy at least one edge computing use case, or in some cases had already at least partially deployed one or more. This relates to adoption of ‘Industry 4.0’ principles in the energy sector.
